Moderation Logs and Appeals
How moderation actions are recorded and how eligible decisions may be appealed.
Effective 8 August 2026
Moderation records
WikiHere records material moderation actions such as rejected revisions, reversions, page protection, comment removal, upload rejection, warnings, role changes, and account restrictions.
- Action type, affected wiki or page, actor, subject, timestamp, reason code, explanatory note, and related revision or report.
- Previous state and resulting state where rollback or permission changes are involved.
- Visibility level so private security, personal, or legal information is not exposed publicly.
Appeals
An affected account holder may appeal a warning, role removal, contribution restriction, suspension, or ban by emailing appeals@wikihere.com. Include the account name, decision, reason for appeal, and relevant context.
An appeal should be reviewed by a moderator who did not make the original decision when practical. Repeated appeals without new information may be closed without further review.
Possible outcomes
- Uphold the decision.
- Shorten, narrow, or remove the restriction.
- Restore a role, contribution, comment, or file.
- Return the matter for additional factual review.
- Increase protection where the review identifies a continuing security or abuse risk.
